Your opportunity:
Under the supervision of the Associate Director the incumbent coordinates space bookings and provides administrative support for the Multi-Faith Centre team including programs, services, projects and general office duties. As a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and partners, the incumbent must maintain a professional image by responding to inquiries in a timely and courteous manner. The incumbent develops working relationships with campus partners, faith and ethics-based campus groups, chaplains and students more generally to ensure a culture of inclusion at the Centre by demonstrating sensitivity to diverse and multi-faith contexts. The incumbent will require familiarity with multi-faith and inter faith matters and be able to navigate inquiries dealing with high-profile events with tact and diplomacy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
- Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
- Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required
- Overseeing space and resource requirements for events and related programming
- Liaising with internal and external contacts to coordinate execution of seminars and workshops
- Editing content for brochures, newsletters, websites and/or handbooks
- Maintaining information on digital platforms
- Advising students on the interpretation of rules and regulations regarding the use of space and organizing events on campus
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two years related experience in an administrative role and in multi-faith settings.
- Experience working with a student development approach.
- Experience providing excellent customer service to a wide variety of diverse stakeholders and providing assistance and support to clients/students.
- Experience with maintaining office systems (including databases) and interpreting office guidelines.
- Familiarity with the University of Toronto, its policies, procedures and their application.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (must be able to set up templates and macros in Word and Excel, set up Excel spreadsheets including formulas, and prepare sophisticated PowerPoint presentations).
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, active listening, analytical, decision-making and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated judgment, tact, discretion and ability to handle matters of a sensitive and confidential nature.
- Ability to organize a fluctuating workload in a changing environment under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band $67,916. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $86,855. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
