Environmental Professional / Project Manager
Environmental Professional / Project Manager - Permanent, FT
Office Location: Fort St. John, BC. Preference will
be given to candidates based in our Fort St. John location, with relocation
support and/or sign-in bonus available for the right individual. We are also open to considering
candidates based out of our other office locations, as well as fully remote
arrangements for the ideal candidate.
Pay Range: $48.08 to $72.11 (Approximately $100,00 to $150,000 per annum). Compensation is dependent on experience level, education
and overall suitability for position.
Overview
SynergyAspen's purpose is to reduce our clients' environmental footprint. We are a growing environmental consulting firm that provides clients with exceptional service and value, and our employees with meaningful careers. Our areas of expertise include contaminated sites, reclamation, and natural sciences work.
The primary function of the Environmental Professional / Project Manager is to coordinate and / or manage a variety of environmental site assessment and remediation projects across BC.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Client communication.
- Prepare work plans and cost estimates.
- Manage remediation and reclamation environmental field work programs.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of proposals.
- Mentor and train staff; ensure work is done safely and correctly.
- Manage, review and sign-off on technical reports.
- Liaise with regulators, contractors and other third parties.
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients.
- Maintain billable targets as set by CEO / COO.
- Undertake occasional travel to Calgary, Fort St. John, Port Moody, or other destinations as needed.
- Provide excellent levels of service to our internal and external clients.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications for Environmental Professional / Project Manager
- 8+ years of relevant contaminated sites/reclamation experience in environmental consulting in BC, with 4+ years of project management experience.
- Technical diploma or degree in a related discipline.
- Possesses a recognized accredited professional designation (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Chem, P.Ag. etc.) recognized in BC, or the ability to acquire one.
- Experience in contaminated sites, with extensive knowledge of BCER Regulations.
- Experience in managing technically complex projects, working with a dynamic team, and overseeing cost controls.
- Energy, intelligence, and integrity. Your drive for exceptional client experience is relentless.
- Experience managing and working with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Reliable attention to details that matter most, accuracy driven, and professional organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety.
