Sunderland Co-operative Inc. has an opportunity in our Retail Store Division. We are currently seeking a full-time Retail Sales Supervisor at our Oakwood location.

The Retail Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading our Oakwood retail store, supporting management, and ensuring sales plans and margins are reached. This position is responsible to be a leader in superior sales execution, organizing and merchandising the store, providing outstanding customer service, and overseeing and scheduling a small staff of sales associates. This enthusiastic and professional Retail Sales Supervisor also provides support to management and is depended upon to both open and close the store as needed.

Skills / Qualifications / Responsibilities:

Has proven sales experience in a retail environment (agriculture and/or farm supply experience preferred)

Demonstrated ability to work within a computer-based operating system

Is a self-starter and able to lead and work alongside associates collaboratively

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, provide direction, assign tasks and provide constructive feedback when needed

Ability to collaborate and communicate in an effective and professional manner with all staff and retail partners

Customer service is a towering strength with ability to provide respectful, attentive service to all customers

Problem solving and customer complaint resolution are a required skillset

Proven inventory control, product ordering, receiving, and counting is a required skillset

Strong housekeeping, tidiness, organization of the retail store and adjoining warehouse

Strong merchandising ability to maximize sales impact; in-store, flyer activity, store event planning and support

Lead, maintain, organize all time scheduling for retail sales associates

Provides input to finance budget planning and participates in monthly performance tracking meetings

Ability to on-board and train new retail sales associates to bolster performance and building of the team

Must be able to lift 25kg repeatedly (i.e. bags of feed)

Forklift experience is an asset, and internal forklift training, certification and operation is a requirement

Perform additional job duties/responsibilities as assigned
