About the Role:

K2 Group is a privately held, fully integrated company that strategically acquires, develops, constructs, and repositions hospitality, petroleum, and real estate assets throughout Canada and the USA. The Revenue and Marketing Manager will be responsible for the daily sales efforts and the overall positioning, brand communication and the development of profitable business plans for the hospitality sector of K2 Group's portfolio, including rooms, meetings, and events. Candidates must have a dynamic leadership style, possessing excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall rate positioning of K2 Group's owned and managed hotel properties through brand and all required third party online portals.
  • Implement and supervise the execution of the sales and marketing plan, social media plan, advertising, yield strategies, market performance and annual budget.
  • Develop rates, group sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data and demand analysis.
  • Reviewing of the STR report, TravelClick, competitive shopping reports and uses other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotels' market position.
  • Collect market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategy and long-term goals and strategic vision.
  • Find creative and alternate revenue streams to increase overall revenue at each property and assist in promoting each brand locally and internationally in various trade shows and business events.
  • Working with hotels' General Managers and Corporates Sales Manager to develop and support strategies for the hotels', specifically the achievement of targeted room revenues and optimal sales mix.
  • Oversee day-to-day duties of prospecting accounts, account development, site inspections and proper account management practices.
  • Suggests innovative Sales and Marketing ideas and develops deployment strategies to continue to grow market share and increase overall revenue, ADR and RevPAR year over year.
  • Implements the brand's service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of the hotel's sales objectives.
  • Direct and manage all daily, monthly and yearly revenue targets to ensure growth and profitability of all properties.
  • Develop and manage the Annual Sales and Marketing plan.
  • Develop and administer Marketing campaigns in line with all properties brand messaging through Social, Digital and Print Media.
  • Oversee all Marketing, Social and PR needs of all hotel properties within K2 Group's hospitality portfolio, and ensure they are aligned with the hotels' social and commercial needs.
  • Identifies public relations opportunities and coordinates activities to augment the overall marketing communication strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Public Relations or Hotel Management is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of hotel management or corporate sales is preferred.
  • CRME certification
    is strongly preferred
  • Excellent understanding of all market segments, including Leisure, Business, Transient, Group and OTA's.
  • Excellent communications skills- interpersonal, written and public/media relations.
  • Computer literacy (Opera, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
  • Must be results oriented with the ability to be very flexible.
  • Positive attitude and supportive, team-based approach towards the attainment of the hotels' goals.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days.
