Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and bilingual Outbound Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for following up on leads generated from online inquiry forms, primarily via phone calls, to convert interested prospects into loyal customers. Our target audience includes retired veterans eligible for medical cannabis reimbursements, so a compassionate, informative approach is essential. This position requires fluency in French to effectively serve French-speaking clients across Canada. The role is remote-friendly, with flexible hours to accommodate peak calling times.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound phone calls to follow up on leads from online forms, qualifying potential clients interested in medical cannabis products.
- Educate prospects on Herbal Dispatch's product offerings, the benefits of medical cannabis, and the reimbursement process through programs like Veterans Affairs Canada.
- Build rapport with clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs with empathy, especially for retired veterans dealing with health-related issues.
- Guide prospects through the customer onboarding process, including account setup, product selection, and order placement.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets by closing deals and upselling relevant products.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions in our CRM system, tracking lead status, follow-ups, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve issues and improve lead conversion strategies.
- Stay updated on cannabis industry regulations, product knowledge, and reimbursement guidelines to provide accurate information.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Fluency in French (both spoken and written) is mandatory; proficiency in English is also required for internal communication.
- Proven experience in outbound sales, telemarketing, or customer service, preferably in a healthcare, wellness, or e-commerce environment.
- Strong understanding of the medical cannabis industry, including therapeutic benefits and Canadian regulations (training provided as needed).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen actively and handle objections professionally.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a focus on empathy and customer satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in sales, marketing, or a related field is an asset.
- Access to a reliable phone line, internet connection, and quiet workspace for remote calling.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and pass a background check.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with veteran communities or in roles involving reimbursement processes (e.g., insurance or government programs).
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Knowledge of medical cannabis strains, dosages, and applications for conditions common among veterans (e.g., PTSD, chronic pain).
- Ability to adapt to evolving industry trends and compliance requirements.
