Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team either a jouneyman or apprentice. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, proficiency in CNC programming, and experience operating various machining equipment. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines to produce precision components according to detailed specifications .API Threading experience is required. Candidates should possess excellent blueprint reading skills, familiarity with CAD and SolidWorks, and the ability to work with hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced environment. A solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and safety protocols is essential for success in this position. Reliable transportation is as there is no public transportation. Must be able to work independently. Wage will depend on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery including CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls.
  • Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs to ensure accurate production runs.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to produce precise parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and inspection of machining equipment.
  • Use precision measurement tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or finishing tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards.
  • Assist in implementing lean manufacturing practices to optimize efficiency.
  • Operate forklifts when necessary for material handling within the facility.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with CNC programming languages, particularly Fanuc controls.
  • Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and calipers.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, CAD software (SolidWorks preferred), and machining processes.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with CNC lathe and CNC milling machine operation.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting while maintaining safety standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
