Job Description:

We're looking for a(n) Product Development Specialist who will play a key role in shaping TJX Canada's product development strategy for seasonal trend and general merchandise. In this role, you'll leverage your market knowledge and home‑merchandise expertise to influence product quality, strengthen vendor partnerships, and support merchants in making high‑impact decisions. You'll have the opportunity to drive meaningful business outcomes by improving the quality of imports, production, and closeouts across a dynamic assortment. What You'll Do:

  • Design seasonal trends and general products, developing related sourcing packs that aligns with off price model and merchant objectives
  • Researches, analyzes and provides input on market trends for style, color and material selection process for private label brand strategy; attends domestic and international trade shows, competitive shops to keep abreast of product trends and industry best practices
  • Monitors in store product to identify additional opportunities
  • Participates in competitive shop planning and sample display presentations; leverages information from process to support research on trends and requirements
  • Develops strong relationships with merchants and collaborates closely with business partners

About You:

  • Minimum three (5) years' experience in Retail Industry
  • Strong sense of fashion and color sense in home trends and product design
  • Advanced computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite CC, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Highly advanced understanding of product design, design principles and best-practices; high level of aesthetics vision with an excellent design sense with experience
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to implement and manage details, prioritize, time manage and multi-task with limited supervision and sometimes under time pressure - ability to deliver high quality designs in very short turn-around times
