We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Technical Marketing Specialist to join our team in the Ontario Region. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Technical Brand Manager and work closely with the sales and marketing teams, providing expert-level technical product knowledge, training, and support for Fujifilm digital cameras and Instax products. This role demands a blend of technical acumen, product knowledge, and excellent communication skills to effectively promote and support our offerings. A deep understanding of our products, the competitive landscape, and consumer needs is essential. The position includes travel within the Ontario region and occasional travel across Canada.

Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the sales team to provide technical product knowledge during customer meetings, new product launches, and other events.
  • Conduct regular retail store visits in the region to provide product knowledge, training, and support.
  • Participate in the launch and demonstration of new products, ensuring retailers are fully knowledgeable of product features and benefits. This includes participation in planning and executing product launch events with select retailers.
  • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of Fujifilm Imaging products, staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor products.
  • Provide product training through various formats, including presentations, online modules, and videos, such as contributing to the Fuji Guys YouTube channel.
  • Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, webinars, and other promotional activities to showcase Fujifilm products.
  • Support the Fujifilm GFX Demo loan program, including coordinating equipment loans and providing technical assistance.
  • Support the Fujifilm Tech Time program by addressing product-related queries and providing solutions to current and future customers.
  • Contribute to the development of technical marketing materials, including product presentations, spec sheets, and training manuals.
  • Participate in content development for the Fuji Guys You Tube channel, including creating tutorials, product overviews, and technical guides.  Tasks including writing content, filming video, discussing products on camera, and responding to consumer questions and comments on-line.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team, and provide technical insights to shape and influence the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns to ensure they are accurate, effective, and aligned with the product's capabilities and competitive advantages
  • Research and analyze market trends, new technologies, and competitive products to provide recommendations and insights to the team.
  • Maintain a complete line of product samples for use during demonstrations and manage the product loaner program within the region.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners, key accounts, prospective customers, and internal teams.
  • Assist with translating sales and marketing documents as required.

Skills / Education: 

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business / Marketing or a related field is a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of photography and technical concepts, with the ability to effectively communicate them to various audiences.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience in sales, technical support, or customer service roles, preferably with photo or technical products.
  • Proficiency in MS/Apple Office applications and photography-based software such as Capture One and Adobe. Lightroom in required; additional skills in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused with a strong understanding of customer service best practices.
  • Self-motivated individual with high energy and enthusiasm, able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to think out-of-the-box.
  • Available to work flexible hours when required, including weekends.
  • Willing to travel extensively within the region (Ontario) and across Canada as needed.
