Business Development Representative

As part of ZIM Log sales team, you will be responsible for developing ZIM Logistics' customer base, by promoting ZIM Logistics' products and services specifically with a focus on "air" or "ocean" freight and all other value added services in the designated territory of responsibility.

Developing long term relationships to create a sustainable, profitable, consistent, and recurrent business. The successful candidate will ensure that ZIM Log meet its business objectives by increasing revenue and gross margin.

Main Tasks:

Actively seek out new sales opportunities by identifying and pursue new customers in the designated territory.

Making regular sales calls and visits existing and prospective accounts.

Meeting and exceeding sales objectives, by leading and expanding customer base.

Establish strong relationships with prospects' and customers' decision makers, while constantly promoting ZIM Logistics' products and services

Build up and maintain long-lasting relationships with existing and new suppliers (air/sea Carriers, trucking, warehouse), for pricing ad procurement activities support.

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin with experience re: the Transpacific Trade Lane
  • Academic education: Economics/ Business Management/ Marketing/ Logistics/ International Negotiation - preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Business Development with non-asset trucking brokerage and/or Asset ground operators / Freight Forwarders.
  • Working experience in a local non-asset trucking brokerage and/or Asset ground operators / Freight Forwarder - preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Fluent in English (Speaking, reading and writing)
  • Team player
