We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, commercial rooftop units, etc. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience and excellent customer service skills. This position offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic environment that values technical expertise and teamwork.
Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs for all preventative maintenance clientele
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues utilizing schematics and technical manuals
- Utilize mechanical repair techniques to diagnose problems accurately and efficiently
- Lift heavy components safely during maintenance/installation procedures
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to identify issues and implement solutions
- Able to install furnaces, air conditioners, humidifiers and water heaters in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Maintain detailed records of service performed and parts used
- Provide detailed work orders daily for completed jobs
- Source parts as required for projects
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Qualifications
- Minimum G2 gas certification (G-1 welcome)
- Refrigeration license is an asset
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in both commercial and residential settings
- Proficiency in using both hand and power tools
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Experience with assembly processes and technical diagnostics is a plus
- Valid driver's license is required; clean driving record preferred
Good wages, company truck and benefits offered. Wage will be discussed during interview based on qualifications.
