About the Role

The 
Spa Manager
 takes full ownership of the spa's operations, financial performance, and team leadership. This is a hands-on role for a dynamic and strategic leader who excels in driving results, inspiring people, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You'll be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, growing revenue, and maintaining the high standards that define Nita Lake Lodge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team including the Assistant Spa Manager, reception staff, and contracted practitioners.
  • Oversee the full operation of the spa, including budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, payroll approvals, and inventory management.
  • Take ownership of financial performance — analyze revenue and expenses, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategies to achieve profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to create innovative seasonal promotions, group experiences, and retail initiatives that enhance brand visibility and guest engagement.
  • Ensure every treatment, interaction, and touchpoint reflects luxury service standards and the lodge's commitment to wellness.
  • Maintain strong contractor relationships, ensuring compliance with insurance, licensing, and policy requirements.
  • Oversee efficient use of the booking system (Booker), manage vendor partnerships, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Champion workplace safety and wellness, ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC and Nita Lake Lodge's health and safety policies.
  • Partner cross-departmentally with Housekeeping, Front Office, and Maintenance to support a seamless resort experience.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive spa management experience, preferably in a resort or luxury environment.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, drive revenue, and improve financial performance.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing contractors and maintaining compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with spa management software (Booker or similar).
  • Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
