Wage: $21.50-$26.44 per hour

Position Overview
The Crisis Support Worker:
· Contributes to the day-to-day program and facility operations of the Interval Home - Emergency Shelter.
· Provides meaningful and impactful crisis and practical supports to women and children fleeing family violence, ensuring excellent client services through best practices and effective case management.
· Provides crisis support to individuals accessing the Interval Home crisis line, complete shelter admission assessments and intakes.
· Supports women and families with their day-to-day routines, practical needs, and activities.
· Maintains timely, accurate, factual, and professional documents in accordance with SPARK policies and procedures.
· Coordinates and assists in meal preparation, room cleaning, general housekeeping, house laundry, gardening and facility maintenance.
· Contributes to maintain a high standard of health, cleanliness, and safety in all areas of the facility. Complies with all emergency processes and risk management.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
· Casual, Permanent Position: includes 10-hour shifts, on a 28-day rotation, including weekday and weekend, daytime, evening, overnight and holiday shifts.
Experience and Competencies:
- Diploma or degree in a human service field is preferred, but a combination of related training and experience will be considered.
- Knowledge and understanding of the issue of family violence, and trauma aware supports.
- Previous experience in related field would be an asset
- A valid driver's license combined with a 3-year clean driving history is preferred.
