Position Summary

We are seeking a Junior Project Manager / Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of mechanical and plumbing scopes across a variety of projects. This position is ideal for individuals eager to advance into a full Project Manager role while gaining hands-on experience in mechanical systems, HVAC, and plumbing coordination.

In this role, you will work closely with senior project managers to assist with planning, scheduling, procurement, and on-site coordination, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will gain exposure to multidisciplinary teams, client interactions, and advanced project management tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Assist in managing mechanical and plumbing scopes from design review through installation and commissioning.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain RFIs, change notices, shop drawings, and other project documentation.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Organize manpower planning, site visits, and coordination meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Logistics: Coordinate deliveries with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Closeout: Complete closeout documentation for submission to owners and consultants.
  • Pre-Qualification: Create, update, and track pre-qualification documentation.
  • Technology: Utilize project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and BIM tools for reporting and coordination.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in construction project coordination or a related field.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems; HVAC familiarity is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in construction management or a related discipline.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management software is an advantage.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
