Boat Driver

Camp Hurontario, a long-established children's camp located on the beautiful islands of Georgian Bay, is looking to hire a boat driver for the duration of June to August 2026.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive a 28ft Stanley Landing Craft 'barge' style boat, which is an essential vessel in bringing people, materials, food, and more to our camp island.

In order to operate our commercially licensed vessel, the candidate will need their SVOP (Small Vessel Operator Proficiency) license, for which the camp will cover the cost of attaining. To get this license, the candidate must be 18 years or older.

The successful candidate will then be trained in driving the boat at the camp by our experienced staff.

In addition to boat driving duties, the boat driver will be expected to help the maintenance team with their duties, assisting with minor repairs to docks, cabins, stairs; weed whacking, leaf blowing, and other simple tasks. Basic carpentry experience is an asset, but not essential.

This is a great job for a student who enjoys being in the outdoors, and has an interest in boating.

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $2,000.00-$3,000.00 per year
