Lavigne’s Canvas Co. is hiring a Full Time Junior CAD Technician. Come join our team. We are an industry leading company since 1995. We specialize in custom canvas, boat tops, boat covers, enclosures, custom upholstery and marine flooring. We are located at 2-102 Booth Rd in the beautiful city of North Bay. As a Junior CAD Technician, you will be generating 3D renderings for use in developing final patterns for Marine Canvas and Flooring.
- **Responsibilities / Accountabilities**_
- Operate computer assisted design software in order to design, prepare and produce detailed drawings per specifications.
- Check and verify shop drawings to confirm specifications and design data.
- Participate In customer meetings for reviewing the project assigned in regards to timeline and installation.
- Develop and prepare design sketches for proposals, request for instructions and revisions in progress as required.
- Complete documentation packages and produce drawings.
- Organize and maintain the digital files for the projects in respective folders.
- Performing other duties as assigned such as general office duties, copying, filling, etc.
- The technician reports directly to the business owner or production manager at Lavigne’s Canvas Co.
- **Requirments**_
- College Diploma
- 1-3 years of experience
- Experience using Rhino or similar 3D software
- Strong ability to work with CAD
- Rhino knowledge is an asset
- knowledge of using Proliner is an asset
- Must have valid drivers licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written with team members
- Possess exceptional organization and problem-solving skills with task priorities, timeline and time management
- Detail oriented
- Works well with a team
- Ability to work with minimum supervision

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

**Experience**:

- AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
- drafting: 1 year (preferred)
