Job Description

Aramark is recruiting an Environmental Services Manager to join the team at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland & Labrador for a One Year Contract. Reporting to the Environmental Services Director, the Environmental Services Manager will lead the environmental services team, including laundry and housekeeping personnel in providing an exceptional experience to the patients of Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre.

Job Responsibilities


•    Recruit, hire, and manage performance of food service and environmental service employees

•    Oversee employee payroll and work schedules maintaining adequate staffing levels

•    Inspect cleanliness of facility, sanitation and infection control and take corrective as required

•    Maintain housekeeping/laundry supply inventories and order supplies as needed

•    Ensure equipment is maintained in good operating order and notify Maintenance as required

•    Complete audits, project schedules, employee training logs, and update work routines

•    Consult with internal client stakeholders during cleanliness inspections to ensure transparency, develop relationships and ensure satisfaction and quality service

•    Provide training to ensure employees have the knowledge and tools required to perform their tasks and maintain training records

•    Lead OHS activities, weekly safety huddles, and ensure safe work practices are followed.

•    Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications


• Post-secondary education in Hospitality or Environmental Services is preferred


• 3-5 years management experience in a healthcare setting focused on leading teams and services


• Proven ability to supervise in a diverse environment focused on person and family centered care


• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and human relations skills are essential


• Must be analytical; experienced in conflict resolution and possess formidable team building skills.


• Flexible schedule and occasional weekend work may be required


• Prolonged periods of standing and walking


• Bending, reaching, turning, twisting, lifting up to 20 lbs.
