Job Title: Payroll & Production Specialist

Job Description

Assist with weekly payroll for approximately 120 hourly employees, primarily on Mondays and for maintenance throughout the week. Prepare for payroll using Attendance Enterprise and the internal Hourly Detail Pay system. Understand and apply rules from two different union collective agreements and non-unionized groups, including overtime and shift premiums. Assist with Accounts Payable (AP), write purchase requests (POs), and support procurement. Work with the contractor timekeeping system and assist with receiving.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Utilize Attendance Enterprise and the internal Hourly Detail Pay system for payroll preparation.
  • Interpret and apply rules from union collective agreements and non-unionized groups regarding overtime and shift premiums.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable functions, including writing purchase orders and supporting procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with the contractor timekeeping system and assist with receiving processes.

Essential Skills

  • 2-5 years of payroll experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 products, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to understand rules regarding collective agreements, overtime, and shift premiums.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in Accounts Payable, receiving, and purchasing requests.
  • Familiarity with Coupa (SAP-based PO system) and Maximo (IBM-based MRO system) is a plus, with training provided if needed.
  • ERP knowledge, especially with Coupa, SAP, or Maximo, is desirable.
  • Experience in communicating with suppliers is beneficial.

The pay range for this position is $ $25.00/hr.
