**MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
**1. **Participate in the development of annual budget**: The incumbent control and coordinate the preparation of the annual direct and period cost budget as per prescribed schedule. Using the volumes provided by sales department, he /she determine the headcount and energy requirements, calculates the production, support and service costs and assist the Facility Manager in the presentation of the plant budget.

**2. **Monitor the financial performance of the plant and prepare monthly key reports**: He/she perform duties including the timely explanations of the monthly financial results and forecast the budget variances for the future periods. The incumbent prepares monthly reports and present them to management and find solutions for cost reduction

**3. **Prepare and approve the monthly journal entries**: These entries include bank activity prepaid expenses, accruals, payroll postings and energy transfer.

**4. **Approve accounts payables documents and respond to vendor inquiries**:The incumbent reviews and approve the purchase requisitions (SRM module), allocation slips, cheque requests, cash payments and provides timely answers to vendor inquiries.

**5. **Monitor, update and ensure the accuracy of the inventory accounts**: Working with production and supply chain departments, the incumbentmonitors the accuracy of the inventory data base, report the obsolete and slow-moving items, reviews and identifies solutions for the COGI errors. He/she organizes and conducts physical counts, reconcile the results and post the differences in the accounting system.

**6. **Review and approve the payroll documents**:The incumbent is responsible for the accuracy and timing of the payroll postings. He/she works closely with payroll clerk and other department supervisors, reviews and approves the payroll documents.

**7. **Reconciliation of the following general ledger accounts on a monthly basis**:

- Inventory accounts (finished goods, package materials and ingredients)
- Accrual and prepaid accounts
- Payroll and fringe accounts
- Accounts payables clearing suspense
- Miscellaneous clearing accounts

**8. **Assist the Plant Manager and Manager Plant Controlling - Evap on ad-hoc requirements**:The incumbent may contribute to improve management decision-making by assisting the Plant Manager and the Cost Accounting Manager in the design and implementation of new accounting methods and systems, creating new reports, answering external auditors or management’s ad-hoc requirements.

**NATURE AND SOURCE OF CONTROL**:
Do all work in a professional manner, investigate plan, communicate, coordinate and control accounting functions in an effective manner to optimize budget spending. This position should be able to help in the resolution of the many different situations which can arise in an elaborate standard cost and inventory control system.

**WORKING RELATIONSHIPS**:
The Plant Controller position reports to the Manager Plant Controlling - Evap. The incumbent works with all Facility Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, Cost/Financial analysts, Financial manager and auditors.

**EDUCATION**:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting

MBA or CPA designation preferable

**EXPERIENCE**:
A minimum of 5 years in a similar role

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $90,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
