At Ultimate Manufactured Systems, the bookkeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the company. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including managing and recording all financial transactions, such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Working with the CFO, the bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date ledgers, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring that all financial records comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the bookkeeper prepares financial reports, assists in the preparation of budgets, and provides support during audits. They manage accounts payable and receivable to maintain healthy cash flow. This role is essential in providing the financial insights and data necessary for informed decision-making and strategic planning within the company.

**Key Duties**:

- General office admin tasks and supportive duties
- AR/AP/Payroll Input and Processing
- Invoicing and Vendor Postings
- Reconcile accounts, credit cards, bank accounts, monthly vendors statements
- Post & Maintain journal entries
- Month End and Final Reports
- Year End Preparation
- Statements for each receivable
- Prepare tax remittance, workers' compensation, and tax return
- Attention to detail & organized

**Educational Requirements**:

- Completion of a related University or College Degree is required in Accounting considered an asset.
- Proficient in English

**Experience Requirements**:

- High level expertise in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel.
- Data entry
- Minimum of 5 years of direct accounting and bookkeeping experience.
- Understanding of industry benchmarks in accounting best practices
- Knowledge of GAAP Canada, Accounting Standards Board (AcSB) or other industry-standard accounting frameworks
- Good understanding of accounting principles
- Confidentiality and attention to detail
- Comfortable dealing with huge volumes of complex data
- Must have excellent analytical and communications skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Strong emphasis as a team player that thrives in a cooperative team environment and presents themselves in a polished professional manner
