Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Window/Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and carpentry. This role involves installing, repairing, and restoring windows and doors in residential and commercial properties. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency with hand tools and possess a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Install windows and doors according to specifications and building codes
  • Perform restoration work on existing windows and doors as needed
  • Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, measuring, and fitting materials
  • Apply caulking to seal gaps around windows and doors for energy efficiency
  • Assist with construction painting related to window and door installations
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople including plumbers and flooring installers as necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the installation process

Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand tools commonly used in construction
  • Strong background in carpentry techniques and practices
  • Experience with caulking methods for sealing installations
  • Knowledge of restoration techniques for windows and doors
  • Familiarity with construction painting processes related to installations
  • Basic plumbing skills for integrating window/door installations with existing structures
  • Understanding of welding principles as they relate to metal frames or supports
  • Experience in flooring installation or tile laying is a plus
