Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and a passion for driving team success. Bilingual abilities and proficiency in various retail functions are highly valued to support diverse customer needs and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales performance.
  • Lead and supervise store staff, providing training, coaching, and development to enhance team productivity.
  • Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Handle customer service inquiries with professionalism, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities and manage pricing strategies to optimize profitability.
  • Implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and sales.
  • Conduct recruiting efforts including interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees.
  • Monitor sales goals, develop strategies to meet targets, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
  • Support store management in budgeting, inventory control, and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles within a retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
  • Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, purchasing, and marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Skilled in negotiation, customer service excellence, training & development, and interviewing techniques.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative responsibilities such as payroll and budgeting.
  • Supervising experience is required; familiarity with retail management software is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and professional communication standards. This position offers an opportunity to lead a vibrant retail environment while developing your managerial expertise within a supportive team setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.20-$27.04 per hour
