Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Support sales initiatives through effective merchandising, pricing, and promotional strategies
- Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Oversee cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions with accuracy and integrity
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff members
- Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and time management for team members
- Assist in purchasing decisions and inventory management to optimize stock levels
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training sessions
- Implement marketing strategies to increase store visibility and sales performance
- Maintain organizational standards for cleanliness, safety, and store appearance
- Support budgeting efforts and monitor sales performance against targets
- Utilize administrative skills such as bookkeeping, record keeping, and reporting
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles within a retail environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic math for pricing and bookkeeping tasks
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, marketing, and sales management strategies
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training staff
- Knowledge of payroll processing, budgeting, and administrative procedures
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and time management abilities
- Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Leadership qualities with a focus on training & development and team building
