What you'll be doing

As a Consultant, Business Delivery within CIBC's Client Account Management Delivery (CAM) team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic business direction of CAM in delivering projects and gathering business needs of varying complexity that align to CAM priorities. Reporting to the Delivery Director, you will represent the business to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of initiatives from initiation through to successful execution, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders. 

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. 

How you'll succeed

  • Project Management Expertise - Demonstrate a strong grasp of program/project management principles and change management practices. Initiate and structure projects, support development of project plans, status reporting, governance, objectives, success criteria, benefits management, scope, financials, and resource requirements. Preferred: 3-5 years of end-to-end strategic project management and change management experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally within financial services. 

  • Requirements Documentation - Facilitate elicitation sessions with business teams, suppliers, and technology partners to identify and document business requirements. Conduct feasibility assessments and utilize standard business analysis methodologies to produce requirements artifacts and secure stakeholder sign-off. 

  • Process Assessment - Apply process design best practices to document current and future state processes and data flows. Conduct ongoing reviews to identify improvement opportunities and enhance client experience. 

  • Leadership - Proactively identify risks and develop solutions to keep projects on track. Monitor milestones to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion. Develop, execute, and track personalized project plans balancing quality, time, and cost. 

  • Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong partnerships with key clients and business partners. Collaborate to make informed decisions, negotiate deliverables, and align milestones across programs. 

  • Communication - Prepare compelling presentations to report project status and support executive decision-making. Effectively communicate requirements, risks, and solutions to stakeholders, leveraging strong interpersonal and consultation skills. Strategic Development & Execution: -Support the development, testing, and implementation of initiatives impacting CAM projects. Promote best practices in change management and project delivery, and make recommendations throughout the project lifecycle. Testing Coordination, coordinate user acceptance testing, including creation of test cases, test data, and execution. Document and secure stakeholder approval of test results.
