The Role:

VitaminLab is experiencing significant growth and looking to add a Part Time Product Development Admin to our team. You will be working side by side with our VP of Product & Experience to help innovate and drive our product initiatives here at VitaminLab. We are looking for someone with a keen interest in personalized supplements, nutrition research and overall physical and technical product development.

A week in the life of a Product Development Admin at VitaminLab:

  • Create educational material for our practitioners, customers and sales teams in collaboration with our marketing team.
  • Coordinate all communication when changes are made to existing products and assist with coordination of communication around any regulatory changes related to our products.
  • Assist the team with product related questions and create resources and processes to make this information easier to find.
  • During the product development process, evaluate research and assist in supplement ruleset creation.
  • Test new features on our customer dashboards, practitioner portal and questionnaire, and provide feedback for the tech/design teams as needed.
  • Assist with developing and monitoring our supplement and formulating product planning roadmap.
  • With an understanding of our Product strategy goals, assist procurement with the sourcing of new ingredients and packaging options. Prepare pricing comparisons and make recommendations based on data as needed.
  • Help to keep the VP of Product & Experience organized and on track.
  • Jumping in to help wherever needed.

You should be:

  • Comfortable with evaluating lab test reports, supplement dosages and forms and performing research for product development.
  • Strong aesthetic eye with an interest in design- you will be reviewing marketing materials and packaging as needed.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly organized- you can handle multiple competing priorities like a champ and love to look for more efficient ways to get things done.
  • Really detail oriented- typo's drive you crazy.
  • Able to critically review AI outputs for accuracy and credibility.
  • A creative problem solver, you love thinking outside the box and innovating daily.
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable with using technology daily.
  • Organized and not afraid of a challenge.
  • Positive and solution focused.
  • Based in Victoria BC, this hybrid role is involved in some hands-on work and you will be collaborating with procurement and production as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Training in nutrition/herbalism/dietetics with a minimum of 2 experience in working in the Natural Health industry.
  • 2+ years experience doing supplement consultations and comfort with dosages and vitamin and mineral forms.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills- you have the ability to pick things up quickly and communicate well with different departments.
  • A strong interest or experience in user experience & design is a bonus.
  • Project management skills would be ideal.

Compensation + Hours:

  • Base Pay Range: $ $29.00/hr
  • This role will be part-time, 5 days per week, 4 hours per day based in Victoria BC. Open to Hybrid working.
  • Expected working hours are between the hours of 7 am - 4:30 pm PST, Monday - Friday.
