Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with proficiency in various accounting software, including QBO and Xero. This role involves managing complex financial records, ensuring accuracy in account reconciliation, and supporting budgeting processes. The Senior Bookkeeper will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
  • Perform account reconciliations for bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
  • Assist with payroll processing and related reporting requirements
  • Support budgeting activities by providing accurate financial data and analysis
  • Prepare financial reports for management review
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Collaborate with auditors during financial audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper, with a strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QBO and Xero is essential
  • Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial reporting standards is preferred
  • Relevant certifications or degree in Accounting or Finance are a plus

This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our financial operations while working within a collaborative team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
