About Us

We are a progressive community pharmacy dedicated to improving patient health and expanding clinical and retail services. Beyond traditional dispensing, we provide personalized medication management, immunizations, and health programs. We are now seeking a Business Development Specialist to help us grow our reach, strengthen community partnerships, and expand our service offerings.

This position is contract based and mainly pays commission.

You do not need to work at the pharmacy but in-person community engagement is a must.

Position Overview

We are looking for an agile and highly talented sales/BD person with excellent communication and salesmanship personality. The candidate should be highly approachable, persistent and comfortable with cold calls. Being multilingual is a plus.

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with healthcare providers, local businesses, and community organizations, and developing strategies to enhance patient engagement and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business growth strategies aligned with the pharmacy's mission and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with physicians, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community organizations.
  • Identify new opportunities for clinical services (e.g., vaccinations, medication reviews, point-of-care testing).
  • Lead marketing and outreach initiatives to promote pharmacy programs and services.
  • Analyze sales trends, market opportunities, and competitor activities to guide business decisions.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to optimize customer experience and loyalty programs.
  • Support digital marketing, community events, and health awareness campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmacy, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, preferably in healthcare, pharmacy, or retail sectors.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and healthcare regulations is an asset.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, close partnerships, and achieve measurable growth targets.
