About the Role

Port Perry Auto Wreckers is seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Compensation

  • $35.00 – $60.00 per hour, based on experience, skill level, and hours worked

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and mechanical systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative service
  • Identify mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate service records and a clean work environment

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic (required)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
  • Valid driver's license preferred
