Job Summary:

The Diesel Truck Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks and heavy-duty vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role involves performing both preventative maintenance and major repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other vehicle components in accordance with manufacturer standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drive systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and minor bodywork as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repair times.
  • Ensure all repairs comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Test repaired vehicles to verify performance and identify any additional issues.
  • Order and replace parts as needed while minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with Fleet Maintenance Coordinator & other technicians.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
