We have operated our own licenced shop for many years now predominately Marinating and repairing our equipment with an increase in bringing outside business into the shop. We are seeking a skilled 310T licenced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Stratford. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment used in our Trucking and snow and ice control divisions. Your expertise will ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently, supporting our mission to provide top-tier services.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and machinery such as mini excavators, tractors, loaders pick up trucks, tri axle dump trucks, pony trailers, float trailers heavy tractors and live bottom trailers.
  • Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Operate heavy equipment and trucks safely during maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards at all times.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role with heavy machinery.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, industrial equipment, and automotive repair.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, or forklifts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Valid 310T
  • Perform annual MTO safety inspections via the drive on program.
