Care for Newcomers just happens to have an exciting opportunity for you

We're looking for a resourceful, fun and high energy individual to join our Childcare Program to:

  • Work during weekdays from 8:45am to 3:15pm
  • Starting January 5th to June 30th, 2026, based on the program needs.
  • Hourly rate is $22

A little about what you bring to Care for Newcomers:

  • Demonstrated sensitivity to children and understanding of the challenges faced by newcomers to Canada
  • Early Childhood Educator Certification Level 1.
  • You have a first aid and CPR certification appropriate to children.
  • Clean Criminal record and Vulnerable sector check
  • TB test administered
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to be able to develop and maintain rapport with parents

A little about what you'll do:

  • Monitor the children's behavior and intervene as needed
  • Prepare the room appropriately before the children arrive
  • Supervise the children's daily activities and routines
  • Ensure the kids are safe and comfortable while in our childcare facility
  • Communicate with parents about any specifics related to their children
