Mustang Freightways Ltd. is looking for an Overnight Warehouse Supervisor to join our team out of our Calgary terminal.

The Overnight Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the overnight shift. This is a diverse and challenging role requiring the ideal candidate to be excellent with multi-tasking, a team-oriented individual who can ensure quick efficient loading of LTL freight and on time departure schedules. Candidate must be available Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Job Duties will include:

  • Oversee and direct outbound line haul freight to ensure shipment accuracy, condition, and completeness
  • Manage overnight warehouse crew performance, including equipment pre/post checks, safety compliance, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure all shipments comply with load securement standards and specifications
  • Ensure on-time departure of all scheduled overnight line haul runs
  • Maintain housekeeps standards and ensure shipping areas are clean, organized and compliant
  • Provide dependable and consistent leadership during overnight hours to ensure operational continuity in the absence of daytime management
  • Demonstrate high reliability by maintaining consistent attendance and availability during overnight shifts
  • Provide hands-on support on the dock as needed
  • Address employee concerns and escalate issues to appropriate parties when necessary
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

The ideal Candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Must be highly reliable and consistently available to work overnight shifts; this role is essential to maintaining overnight operations
  • Previous experience supervising staff
  • 2-5 years sit down counterbalance forklift experience
  • Previous experience with dispatch/call center environment an asset
  • Transportation industry knowledge and experience an asset
  • Excellent computer skills. AS400 experience an asset
  • Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and skilled in multitasking and problem-solving
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Overtime as required
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
