We are hiring to build a robust Talent and Development team to support our bakeries and Team Members.

Job Title: Receiver

Job Location: Langley, B.C.

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000

Shift: Day shifts or night shifts

Job Duties:

  • Unloads all raw materials, packaging material and bulk ingredients for the plant by forklift or electric palletizer.
  • Oversee drivers unload canola oil, and white/whole wheat flour shipments.
  • Must date all incoming ingredients in proper locations and follow proper stock rotation. (First in- First Out).
  • The receiver is also required to climb on top of the flour silos for inspection and cleaning.
  • Cleaning duties include keeping the yeast/oil/sugar tank room clean and other general storage areas clean.
  • Responsible for pre-shift inspections of all moving equipment at the receiving area.
  • Other duties include, ordering materials, inventory, stock taking, record temperatures and computer input.

Job Requirements :

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many packages are large
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
  • Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other company spreadsheet programs
  • Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse
  • Experience using a forklift and professional forklift certification is strongly preferred
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
  • Personal accountability and integrity are paramount, as a shipping clerk is tasked with an accurate accounting of all inventory
  • Relevant customer service experience is a plus as shipping clerks interact with customers to replace lost or damaged goods
