Job Description: Shipper/Receiver and Material Handler (Aerospace Company)

Position Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Shipping and Receiving Coordination:

- Manage the shipping and receiving activities, including but not limited to packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all shipping and receiving processes.
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to meet production and customer delivery requirements.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness, resolving any discrepancies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory management systems accordingly.
- Build crates and boxes for shipping parts.

2. Material Handling:

- Safely and efficiently handle materials, equipment, and supplies using appropriate tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Receive, inspect, and unpack incoming materials, ensuring they are properly stored or distributed to the appropriate departments.
- Prepare materials for production by ensuring accurate picking and staging of components and supplies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate the timely delivery of materials to support production schedules and project timelines.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits, identify stock discrepancies, and work with inventory control to reconcile discrepancies.

3. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

- Generate shipping, receiving, and material handling documentation, such as packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities, including tracking numbers, delivery confirmations, and related documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and organization of shipping, receiving, and material handling records for easy retrieval and auditing purposes.

4. Process Improvement:

- Continuously identify opportunities to optimize shipping, receiving, and material handling processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, such as streamlined packaging, improved inventory management, and enhanced tracking systems.
- Participate in regular team meetings, providing insights and suggestions for improving overall logistics and warehouse operations.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving coordination, preferably in the aerospace industry or a similar technical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipping documentation and inventory records.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to material handling and warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime to meet business needs.

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Langley, BC V2Y 1N1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
