As a Receiver you will be responsible for operating an overhead crane, breaking crates, completing necessary receiving paperwork, and contributing to a safe team environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Understand and maintain current and accurate inventory information.
- Conduct accurate and timely inventory counts.
- Accurately label incoming inventory.
- Complete documentation accurately when receiving glass.
- Use five tonne overhead cranes to move glass packs.
- Operate forklift, as required.
- Provide positive client support and assistance.
- Notify management of any deviations in product quality, or other roadblocks, and implement corrective actions as directed.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure all operations are performed in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), company safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE); encourage a culture of safety on the production floor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following housekeeping standards to promote safety and efficiency.
- Comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all aspects of the job.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support overall production goals and operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current drivers licence.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and management.
- Ability to stand throughout entirety of shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and throughout entirety of shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, in a continuous manner, in a fast paced environment including lifting and extending arms through entirety of shift.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong dedication to ensuring quality and efficiency in all tasks.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the glass or window manufacturing or fabrication industry is an asset.
