Teardown Technician Responsibilities Include:

  • Disassemble unit components
  • Wash transmissions and or differentials
  • Disassemble units in a safe and effective manner
  • Remove all bearing material from complete unit
  • Determine parts that require replacing
  • Enter all pertinent data of unit onto production service order (make/ model /ratio required parts)
  • Complete re-wash of core product
  • Enter teardown, wash & parts listing time per unit on production service order
  • Install all sorted parts onto individualized pallet for processing
  • Complete tag listing to pallet to shelf
  • Complete wash machine injector cleaning as per shift schedule
  • Clean work area (floors, benches, tools & equipment) per set time each day
  • Service wash machines (filter cleaning, add water to proper level, check and adjust wash chemical ratio)

Successful Teardown Technician Candidates Will Have:

  • One year of Teardown Technician experience within the heavy-duty industry
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs

  • The role is a physically active role.

  • Will be required to lift, pick, pull, and stock heavy duty truck parts that might be in excess of 50+ lbs with lift assist devices.

  • Will frequently be required to: walking, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing and climbing.
  • Will frequently use a computer in the course of completing daily activities.

Hourly Pay Rate is based on relevant experience:
