Job description
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
Job duties include, but not limited to:
- Setup and teardown of production and packaging equipment.
- Safely maintain, install, troubleshoot, and repair facility asset's (including sheeting lines, mixers, conveyors, packaging machines, palletizing robot, case tapers, and other related systems and process equipment).
- General facility repairs when required (e.g. plumbing, painting, yard work, snow removal, etc.).
- Record maintenance tasks and deficiencies using our maintenance software.
- Order required parts for new projects, maintenance, and repairs.
- Communicate with production, sanitation, workplace safety, and other departments in the facility.
- Comply with the companies Core Values and policies.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Electromechanical Technology/technician background, or experience as a maintenance electrician.
- Experience with palletizing robots is an asset.
- Mechanical background is an asset.
- Facility repair experience is an asset.
- Must have motor circuit wiring and motor control knowledge (FV starters, soft-starters, VFD's, DC drives).
- Must have some PLC troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Must have some PLC programming experience (Productivity Suite, Allen-Bradley Connected Components Workbench, and/or Allen-Bradley RSLogix/Studio).
- Equipment maintenance experience is an asset.
- Food manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work well with other team members.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
- Must have own transportation.
- Safely operate hand and power tools.
- Must be able to communicate in English (Speak, read and write).
- NOTE: Must be able to supply your own basic hand tools (Note: Tool box, specialized tools, and drills are supplied by the company).
Physical Demands:
- Walk, sit, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, push, pull, etc.
- Some heavy lifting.
- Some working at heights (ladders and mobile elevating work platforms).
Work Environment:
- May be subject to heat, cold, dust, dirt, wet conditions, odors, noise, slippery surfaces, and other plant hazards.
Wage:
- Dependent on experience and qualifications, paid bi-weekly

- Morning Shift (First day of the week starts at 2:00 am, rest of the week starts at 3:00 am), Full-time, Permanent
- Monday to Friday (based on production schedule)
