Position Summary

Based out of New Glasgow or Halifax, NS, the Senior Systems Analyst (18 month contract) is responsible for ensuring optimal performance, configuration, integration and user adoption of core enterprise applications and systems at Crombie. Additional duties of the Senior Systems Analyst include but are not limited to:

  • Ensures that Enterprise Resource Planning/Human Capital Management systems are consistently accessible and operational with minimal downtime and tracks and analyzes system performance to ensure it meets defines standards.
  • Collaborates across the organization to understand individual departmental needs to shape and prioritize system roadmaps and enhancements to align with business strategies and enterprise objectives
  • Collaborates with end users to understand reporting requirements and creates a variety of reports of varying complexity to support strategic decision making.
  • Analyzes maintenance and enhancement requests to deliver configuration requirements and integration initiatives ensuring full lifecycle management of solutions from requirements gathering through post-implementation support.
  • Understands the integration and end-to-end business processes, in order to problem solve issues. Collaborates with business to resolve functionality or programming issues and provides technical training to end users.
  • Identifies, logs and tracks systematic/technical conflicts and problems and provides resolution.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for system and process improvements that drive automation, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Monitors and maintains all system securities, providing support to auditors to resolve system and process deficiencies.
  • Conducts thorough troubleshooting for system issues.
  • Configures, tests, and supports assigned applications, working across the organization to test new releases and patches end to end in a demo database environment.
  • Provides ownership and coordination of integration testing and user acceptance testing process, including preparation of acceptance criteria, and review of the test plans and scenarios.
  • Leads the rollout of approved releases and patches into production database.
  • Supports technical aspects of systems during new application implementations and assists users following the implementation.
  • Champions system training and change management efforts across the organization, developing user-centric training materials for Oracle HCM and Yardi Voyager.
  • Collaborates with Applications Analyst to ensure backup and recovery plans are current and in place.
  • Engages across all levels of the organization to create and promote a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Other special projects and tasks as assigned.

The profile we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle HCM Cloud Certification, PMP) are considered assets.
  • 5-7 years experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar IT/business systems roles.
  • Proven experience in supporting and configuring enterprise-level ERP/HCM applications such as Oracle, HCM and Yardi Voyager.
  • Experience in systems integration, application lifecycle management, and user training and support.
  • Hands-on experience with business process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/HCM system architecture and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL, reporting platforms, and system integration techniques.
  • Experience conducting end-to-end testing, including UAT and integration testing.
  • Strong analytics mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Skilled at building relationships and influencing across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices is considered an asset.
