Position Overview
The Market Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring Golf Town's brand and merchandising standards are consistently executed across a cluster of five multiple stores. This is a hands-on, store-facing role with daily travel (one store per day), blending tactical execution with strategic input. The Market Merchandiser partners with store teams to deliver an exceptional in-store presentation experience that will drive sales, reinforce brand identity, and engage customers.
Key Responsibilities
Store-Level Execution
- Visit one assigned store per day, completing a full cycle of five market stores weekly.
- Execute visual merchandising directives, seasonal layouts, and promotional displays.
- Adjust layouts, mannequins, and fixtures to optimize traffic flow and product visibility.
- Ensure signage, graphics, and shop-in-shop areas reflect Golf Town's premium positioning.
Brand Standards & Communication
- Uphold consistency of Golf Town's visual identity across all locations.
- Communicate the weekly and daily plan to DMs, SGMs, and store teams to ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained consistently between visits.
- Conduct visual audits, identifying opportunities for improvement and quick wins.
Strategic & Trend Alignment
- Partner with the Regional Visual Merchandiser and District Manager to execute seasonal campaigns and promotions.
- Provide insights on customer behavior, local trends, and competitor displays to influence regional merchandising strategies.
- Contribute ideas for display innovation, product adjacencies, and experiential storytelling in-store.
Performance & Reporting
- Capture before-and-after photos, completing weekly recap reports with observations and recommendations.
- Track and report on the impact of merchandising initiatives (e.g., sales lift, product sell-through).
- Share feedback on fixture performance, product placement, and inventory flow to support buying and allocation decisions.
Collaboration & Special Projects
- Work closely with Store Managers and DSM of Apparel to align priorities and ensure flawless execution.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and marketing teams on regional initiatives.
- Support new store openings, remodels, and layout refreshes to ensure a consistent, elevated customer experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in visual merchandising, retail operations, or related field.
- Strong eye for detail, design, and retail presentation.
- Hands-on, execution-driven, and comfortable moving fixtures and product displays.
- Ability to analyze merchandising effectiveness and adapt strategies to drive results.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with store teams.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily within assigned region.
