**ECommerce Merchandising Specialist**
***The ECommerce Merchandising Specialist is the business owner of their assigned categories for the London Drugs digital properties. The role is a critical component to align to the overall category strategy put forth by the retail merchandising teams. The ECommerce Merchandising Specialist is responsible for developing initiatives for online channels and coordinating the execution of events including launching new merchandise, optimizing navigation and search and enabling a superior digital customer experience for London Drugs customers.
- Strong oral and written communication.
- Very effective organizational ability and time management skills.
- 1-2 years of experience in ECommerce retail merchandising.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good technical product knowledge.
- Experience and technical proficiency with web sales and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Adwords, and Storefront systems is desirable.
- Working knowledge of performance marketing activities such as SEM/SEO, remarketing/retention, affiliates, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for online sales and profitability for assigned categories which align with retail merchandising partners overall strategies for ECommerce and total enterprise goals.
- Demonstrate a passion and leadership competency for data-driven decision making for site placement and promotional planning, coordinating execution and optimizing website content to deliver on marketing and merchandising business objectives.
- Accountable for ownership and delivery of weekly site-wide and category plans including product placement and promotional approach; analyzing site/category offers to determine effectiveness and opportunity.
- Conduct research on products, merchandise, customer trends and market factors, utilizing the category review process and online analytic tools to identify key factors affecting the performance of assigned category(s);
- Create and coordinate the execution of online plans and promotions with Retail Merchandising which drive and increase traffic, sales and expand profit margins consistent with total company goals.
- Analyze sales and site funnel data to determine customer engagement by category, online channel and page level information.
- Create and maintain a deep knowledge of ECommerce best practices including competitive strategies, marketing, usability testing and industry trends.
- Coordinate creation and deployment of detailed product content on website.
- Optimize page layouts to increase conversion and ensure industry best practices.
- Identify revenue opportunities and provide ongoing optimization analysis to the team to improve sales and ensure a good customer experience.
- Google Analytics management - ongoing review of traffic and conversion trends for all sites. Identify areas for improving site conversion.
- Analyze SEM and Affiliate data and trends - report findings and suggest improvements.
- Create and manage A/B testing and report findings to team.
- Set-up and launch new products or promotions in accordance with schedules.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners (including Design & Content, Marketing, Merchandising and IT teams) to execute on seasonal program plans.
- Provide metrics and analysis to key management on a regular basis.
- Constantly evaluate new digital ECommerce opportunities and make recommendations for optimizing performance.
