Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered efficiently and accurately to our guests. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Duties

  • Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely delivery to guests.
  • Monitor food presentation and quality before it leaves the kitchen, ensuring it meets our high standards.
  • Operate POS systems for order entry
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow efficiency during peak service times.
  • Support other roles in the restaurant as needed, including cleaning, stocking supplies, and assisting with guest services.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations, including cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
  • Experience with POS systems, specifically Micros POS, is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A background in hospitality or guest services is a plus, along with barista experience if applicable.
