Responsibilities

  • Decorate cakes and desserts according to customer specifications, themes, and designs using various techniques and tools
  • Prepare cake fillings, frostings, and other decorative elements with precision and creativity
  • Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards for appearance, taste, and freshness
  • Handle food safely by following proper food handling and safety protocols
  • Package finished products carefully for delivery or pickup to maintain presentation quality
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production of decorated cakes for special orders and events
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including baking or assembling components

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of work experience in similar field
  • Being able to work with whipping cream and fondant
  • Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a restaurant or bakery setting preferred
  • Strong skills in cake decorating techniques such as piping, fondant work, airbrushing, and color coordination
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills to understand and fulfill customer requests effectively
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Kitchen experience including food industry familiarity is a plus
  • Basic understanding of cooking, baking, and food presentation principles
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision
