Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our QA team and support the Fraud and Risk solution. Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, the successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working directly with development team members.

This is a full-time hybrid position based out of our Mount Pleasant office in Vancouver, with three in-office days per week

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work closely with the software engineering team to capture requirements for test automation framework, define processes, set up and maintain automation framework and library of automated tests for web-based SaaS app

  • Work with the product team to identify, document requirements, and provide advice on company systems strategy, policy, security and service delivery

  • Write, execute, and monitor automated tests to analyze and publish results and interpretation, within scheduled deadlines

  • Set up test data as required to reproduce issues and execute positive, negative and edge case automation testing

  • Follow the process for defect management, release testing and overall product quality assurance

  • Create and maintain test process documentation, scripts and tools

  • Execute manual smoke and final acceptance testing as needed for software releases

  • As needed, assist support with reproducing, diagnosing and resolving customer issues

What You'll Bring:

  • 1+ years of experience supporting the delivery of quality products in agile teams using cutting-edge technology

  • Strong development/programming skills are required

  • Course experience with the following technologies: C++/Java/.Net, JavaScript, SQL, HTML

  • Project experience with source control systems such as Git, SVN, etc an asset

  • Experience working in project team

  • Self-starter looking to learn and contribute significantly to the team

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Proficient in the English language, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are a must
