Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight and goods to various locations according to schedule.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Load and unload freight ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on trucks and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities.
  • Assist in the operation of heavy equipment when required, including forklifts or other machinery related to freight handling.
  • Report any vehicle issues or safety concerns promptly to management for resolution.

Experience

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or logistics preferred. .
  • Basic automotive repair knowledge is advantageous for performing minor maintenance tasks.
  • Experience with freight loading/unloading procedures is desirable.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments. This position offers a dynamic work environment where safety, efficiency, and professionalism are paramount. Candidates should be committed to maintaining high standards of service while adhering to all safety regulations governing commercial transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $5,000.00-$7,500.00 per month
