Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The Class 1 Truck Driver will be responsible for operating a Super B or Auger Truck or Box Truck, transporting feed for livestock from our feed mill in Bruno, SK to farms in Saskatchewan & Alberta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting our feed to various destinations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and efficient route management.

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial trucks to deliver freight across designated routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to feed safety and compliance.
  • Handle paperwork such as bills of lading, delivery receipts, and other transportation-related documents.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and compliance documentation
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
  • Assist with automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical problems as needed
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent it from shifting or sustaining damage during transit.
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
  • Receive and relay information to the central dispatch/mill manager.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license [Class-1 & Air Brake (Z) Endorsement] with a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation
  • Physical ability to lift, load, and unload freight as required
  • Prior experience is desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
