What you'll do

  • Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts and other equipment as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Navigate assigned routes effectively while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, miles traveled, and cargo details in accordance with company policies.
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding any delays or issues encountered on the road.
  • Ensure the proper handling of refrigerated trailers to maintain product integrity during transport.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery schedules and enhance overall service quality.

Basic qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of long-haul logistics.

Preferred qualifications

  • Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
  • Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
  • Strong ability to load and unload freight efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
