Join our dynamic team as a Long Haul Driver, where your driving skills will take center stage You'll be responsible for transporting goods across long distances, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. What you'll do
- Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other equipment as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Navigate assigned routes effectively while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, miles traveled, and cargo details in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding any delays or issues encountered on the road.
- Ensure the proper handling of refrigerated trailers to maintain product integrity during transport.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery schedules and enhance overall service quality.
Basic qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of long-haul logistics.
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Strong ability to load and unload freight efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
