BGC Niagara is currently seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the role of Children's Cooking Instructor at the EJ Freeland Community Centre (1555 Garrison Rd., Fort Erie).

Position Overview:

The Children's Cooking Instructor is responsible for the delivery of the programs and services at the assigned BGC Niagara location(s). The position is accountable to the Aquatics, Recreation and Community Programs Supervisor/Manager.

Terms of Employment:

  • $21.00 per hour
  • Evenings & Saturdays
  • Part-time
  • 4 – 8 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Screen that is obtained within the last 6 months
  • Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
  • Immunization records
  • Food Handlers certification
  • HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development (can obtain after hire)
  • Experience working directly with children and/or delivering children's programming

Deliverables include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide safe, effective and efficient delivery of BGC Niagara programs
  • Supervise and instruct participants as scheduled
  • Assist with organizing, developing, documenting and implementing BGC Niagara programs
  • Record attendance of participants
  • Maintain accurate records with respect to program delivery
  • Prepare and distribute participant evaluations
