Site Superintendent
to oversee large-scale
industrial and commercial builds
including
new construction (precast and structural steel)
as well as complex
renovations and retrofits

This is an opportunity to join a well-established and respected general contracting team with a strong reputation for delivering
industrial, big-box, storage, and manufacturing facilities
across Ontario. You'll play a central role in turning ambitious projects into reality while leading site operations with precision, safety, and professionalism.

What You'll Do
As the Site Superintendent, you will be the key on-site leader responsible for coordinating all aspects of construction activities from start to finish. Your primary duties will include:

  • Lead ground-up construction projects for industrial and commercial buildings, including precast and structural steel structures.
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet all quality and safety standards.
  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site staff to maintain smooth operations.
  • Enforce safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a clean and hazard-free work environment.
  • Coordinate with project managers, owners, engineers, architects, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular site meetings, maintain detailed documentation, and provide transparent progress updates.
  • Oversee inspections, testing, and quality control, ensuring all work meets contract specifications, drawings, and local codes.
  • Manage procurement and delivery of site materials and ensure cost control measures are followed.
  • Support project close-out, including deficiency management, as-built documentation, permit closure, and occupancy coordination.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience managing new build industrial or commercial projects, including structural steel and precast construction.
  • 5+ years of experience overseeing renovation, retrofit, or expansion projects.
  • Proven success delivering projects such as manufacturing plants, distribution centres, big-box retail, or storage facilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades and stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of construction best practices, building codes, and site safety regulations.
  • Safety certifications such as Working at Heights, WHMIS, Standard First Aid, and Supervisor Awareness (training support can be provided if needed).
