WHAT YOU DO AT AMD CHANGES EVERYTHING

At AMD, our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences—from AI and data centers, to PCs, gaming and embedded systems. Grounded in a culture of innovation and collaboration, we believe real progress comes from bold ideas, human ingenuity and a shared passion to create something extraordinary. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world's most important challenges—striving for execution excellence, while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives. Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond.  Together, we advance your career.

THE ROLE:

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and workflows that enable seamless code integration from development through to mainline. This position is critical in ensuring the stability, scalability, and quality of AMD software and firmware development environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams across multiple disciplines—spanning firmware, software, and validation—to automate and optimize delivery pipelines and enforce robust integration standards.

You will own and drive the staging-to-mainline integration pipeline, ensuring reliable transitions between branches, enforcing quality gates, and deliver the automation and tooling necessary for continuous integration and deployment at scale.

THE PERSON:

You are passionate about automation, infrastructure, code, and scalable systems using AI solutions that empower development teams to move faster with confidence. You thrive in a highly collaborative environment, are comfortable operating in complex systems, and have a proactive mindset for identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements. You combine technical depth with a practical, results-driven attitude.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and maintain the staging-mainline integration process, ensuring branch integrity and delivery quality across multi-site engineering teams.

  • Design, deploy, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Ansible, integrated with Kubernetes and MaaS environments.

  • Implement automation frameworks for build, validation, and deployment processes across pre-silicon and post-silicon development workflows.

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code for reproducible and scalable environments.

  • Architect intelligent CI/CD systems using AI to accelerate delivery and scale operations.
  • Collaborate with software, validation, and release management teams to define integration policies and version control best practices.

  • Monitor, analyze, and continuously improve build system reliability, performance, and scalability.

  • Manage tools and workflows in GitHub, ensuring code integration consistency, branch health, and effective use of pull requests, reviews, and CI gating.

  • Work with release management, program management, and technical leads to track and deliver milestones through Jira and other internal tracking systems.

  • Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive measures for infrastructure and pipeline issues.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong, proven experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar.

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, container orchestration, Ansible, and infrastructure automation principles.

  • Hands-on experience managing Git-based workflows and mainline integration at scale.

  • Experience with MaaS, bare-metal provisioning, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.

  • Enabled smarter CI/CD workflows through strategic AI deployments
  • Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional integrations involving multiple repositories and teams.

  • Solid understanding of software configuration management, build systems, and continuous delivery practices.

  • Proficient with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and tooling development.

  • Familiarity with monitoring, metrics, and reliability engineering tools and concepts (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack).

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain complex systems clearly and effectively.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
