Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and departure
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the system
  • Process payments, handle billing, and manage invoices
  • Assist with laboratory procedures as needed, utilizing laboratory experience to support diagnostic processes
  • Coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Support inventory management by tracking supplies and ordering as necessary

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or laboratory setting is preferred; laboratory experience is especially valuable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Proficiency with computer systems, scheduling software, and basic office equipment
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and discretion
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in veterinary assisting is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85-$22.71 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
