Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team as a part time. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients and supporting our veterinary staff in delivering exceptional services. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by holding animals and providing necessary support.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Collect laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and feces for testing.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Monitor animal patients during recovery from anesthesia or surgery.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and treatment plans.
  • Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering supplies as needed.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred .
  • Familiarity with laboratory procedures and techniques is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care.

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour
